Position detection: UWB measuring system for indoor and outdoor positioning

Automatisierung Dresden has developed a position detection/measuring system based on the UWB (ultra-wideband) technology, which enables high precision measurements of positions in realtime. The system can be used in indoor and outdoor applications. The main components are static anchors and mobile rovers. The distance/position is measured via the UWB signal, the stations communicate via WiFi. The integration of additional sensors (IMU, GNSS, Lidar) to ensure a better precision is also unique to our system.

Building technology: Device and software development for air quality measurement in building ventilation systems (

The start-up Airmos has aimed to analyze and improve air quality in interior spaces. Together with Airmos, Automatisierung Dresden has developed an air quality sensor unit. Our task was to develop the analysis software as well as the design and implementation of the web-based user interface. We were able to carry out a field test within 2 months. The system measures the amount of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and particles in the inlet air of ventilation systems, which are used in low energy housing.

Object detection: Lidar object detection for vehicle detection in a testing environment

Automatisierung Dresden has developed a object detection system based on the Lidar technology for the use in one of our customer’s testing applications. It was used to test an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).

Testing technology: Development of smart test adapters

One of Automatisierung Dresden’s area of expertise is testing technology for EOL tests of pneumatic automotive components. Intelligent AD test adapters enable the use of existing lines and EOL test rigs for new products and future product variants. Users can therefore reduce costs by significantly extending the lifetime of EOL test benches and through the testing of product variants on existing test rigs.
